Williams recently opened up to Joanne McNally on their podcast, My Therapist Ghosted Me, about the claims that she and Matthews are headed for a breakup.
She said: “It said, ‘Spencer and Vogue are headed for a breakup because they’re spending so much time apart.’ And I could only assume it was because he wasn’t in my content for Affric, because he came up on the Saturday. But I’m like, maybe it’s because he’s going away as well on his thing for three weeks.”
The revelation comes after reports surfaced that Matthews has parted ways with his long-time agent at Money Management and signed with YMU, a powerhouse agency representing major celebrities such as Ant & Dec, Claudia Winkleman, and Davina McCall. A source told The Daily Mail: “This separation is staggering and very telling at the same time. They did everything together and then boom, that’s it, Spencer goes at it alone.”
Impact on ‘I’m A Celebrity’ Stint
Williams will be embarking on her first solo venture in the jungle without Matthews by her side. The couple, who married in 2018 after meeting on Channel 4’s reality show The Jump, share three children and have a history of co-hosting podcasts together.
Mattews won’t be there to greet Williams at the end of the bridge as he is currently undertaking his latest physical challenge, Project Se7en, which ends on December 6 – a day before the final. He is in Cape Town with plans to complete seven triathlons across seven continents in just 21 days.
