In a thrilling display of skill, Luke Littler maintained his quest for back-to-back titles at the 2025 Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts. Following victories from Luke Humphries and Gerwyn Price on Friday, Littler joined forces with Danny Noppert to secure their places in Sunday’s semi-finals.

Littler’s Remarkable Comeback

It was a night of high-quality darts for Littler against Josh Rock. Rock opened the match with a strong performance, putting Littler under pressure early on by averaging 110 and establishing a lead at 9-6. However, Littler demonstrated his resilience, winning seven consecutive legs to regain control of the game.

His remarkable comeback included impressive combination finishes such as 74, 71, 90, and 81.

Rock managed to close the gap with a 12-dart break but ultimately fell short in his bid to halt Littler’s advance. Despite Rock hitting a 13-darter, Littler secured victory with an 11-dart break, moving him closer to the cusp of triumph at 15-12. He sealed the win via a trademark finish on double ten.

“I slowed my throw down and that really helped with the timing of my shots,” revealed Littler. “I was giving myself absolute hell at 9-6 down, but then I came back on and won the next five and went into the lead, and I couldn’t ask for anything better.”

Noppert’s Comprehensive Win

Dutch darts star Danny Noppert progressed to the semi-finals with ease against Lukas Wenig. The match began with Noppert making a strong start by landing an eye-catching 130 finish on the bullseye. His combination finishing proved decisive, as he registered three consecutive 76 checkouts and two successive 116 and 140 outshots to build a lead of 6-4.

Noppert continued his dominance by winning five consecutive legs to extend his advantage to 11-4.

Wenig managed to stop the rot with an impressive 170 checkout, but Noppert’s relentless form saw him claim the match in style. He sealed victory through a series of four-leg bursts and overcame tough challenges from Wenig’s 104 and 129 checkouts.

“I’m really happy. I’m in the semi-final of the Grand Slam,” said Noppert, reflecting on his achievement. “I was dreaming about it all the time and now I did it. This was not my best game of course, but I’m really proud to be in the semi-finals. ‘I think I’m in the best form of my life and I always believe in myself, so I’m really pleased with everything.”

Approaching the Final Stages

The 2025 Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts will conclude on Sunday with a double session. In the afternoon’s semi-finals, reigning champion Luke Humphries and Gerwyn Price will face off for a place in the final. Meanwhile, Littler, who is unbeaten in 12 games at this stage of the competition, will take on Noppert for his spot in the grand finale.

“I know I need to win one more game to become the world number one,” added Littler. “But I need to get past Danny tomorrow afternoon, which will be a difficult game.”

The final session on Sunday evening will see Humphries and Price battling against each other in the first semi-final before Littler faces Noppert for supremacy.
