As counting progressed early on the morning of November 11, initial trends indicated that the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) was leading with 49 seats against 39 for the opposition INDIA bloc. Individual parties were also making their marks: BJP led in 29 seats, JD(U) in 18, while RJD and Congress were ahead in 32 and seven seats respectively.

Critical Constituencies and Future Outlook
Raghopur, a traditional RJD stronghold, is one of the key constituencies to watch. In 2015 and 2020, RJD’s Tejashwi Prasad Yadav won comfortably against BJP’s Satish Kumar. This race will determine whether the ruling alliance holds its base or faces a challenge.
Other critical seats include Alinagar where singer Maithili Thakur contests against Binod Mishra from the RJD, and Chhapra which sees Khesari Lal Yadav of BJP facing Chhoti Kumari, a Bhojpuri star.
