LEGO’s Latest Iconic Set Teases Star Trek Fans for 2025 Black Friday

The eagerly anticipated LEGO Icons set based on Star Trek: USS Enterprise D has finally made its way into the public eye, as leaked images from South Korea’s Naver platform have given fans a glimpse of what to expect this holiday season.

Design and Features

The 10356 Star Trek: USS Enterprise D set is set to be a massive hit for fans of both LEGO and Star Trek. Measuring an impressive 60cm in length, the model is designed to closely resemble the Galaxy-class starship from The Next Generation, with a focus on smooth shaping and accuracy. The saucer section, which forms the main body of the ship, is built using layers of curved slopes, wedge plates, and tiles to create a seamless hull.

Atop the saucer, the registry “USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D” can be seen printed around the outer edge, with windows forming a continuous ring.

The underside of the saucer is equally detailed, featuring inverted slopes and angled panels that replicate the ship’s rounded profile. The secondary hull, long and narrow, includes small greebling and window prints to capture the look of the main engineering section. Two angled pylons extend from the rear to support the warp nacelles, which contain components for generating a warp field.

Transparent blue elements recreate the warp field grilles, while transparent red pieces represent Bussard collectors at the nacelle fronts. Additional gold, orange, and red accents are used to replicate impulse engines and other hull features.

Minifigures and Set Details

To complement the intricate build, the set includes a total of nine LEGO Minifigures, each based on characters from Star Trek: The Next Generation. These include:

  • Captain Jean-Luc Picard with a cup of tea
  • Commander William Riker with a trombone
  • Lieutenant Commander Data with his cat, Spot
  • Lieutenant Worf with a new hair mould and a grey communications module
  • Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge with his engineering field kit briefcase
  • Dr. Beverly Crusher with a medical tricorder 1×2 tile
  • Counsellor Deanna Troi with a PADD 1×2 tile
  • Wesley Crusher with an engineering field kit
  • Guinan, who carries a green bottle and comes with a new hair/hat mould

The set also features a sturdy black display stand built from Technic elements to hold the model securely at a slight angle for an in-flight appearance. The stand has wide legs for stability and includes a 4×4 nameplate displaying the ship’s registry and Starfleet insignia.
