We had to be blue-lighted to hospital, we had to get into an ambulance which was really stressful.”

Alex Bowen recalled: “The colour drain from Olivia’s face, it was the scariest thing I’ve ever had to witness.” Olivia suffered a massive hemorrhage and lost nearly three liters of blood. She required two emergency blood transfusions to stabilize her condition.

Olivia, who experienced post-traumatic stress disorder after the birth of Abel in 2022, struggled with health anxiety following this near-death event. “I remember getting home after that and having health anxiety and thinking that I wasn’t going to heal,” she said.
