In an exciting move for the highly anticipated third season of Netflix’s “Wednesday,” actress Eva Green has been cast in a series regular role, playing the enigmatic and troubled Addams family member known as Aunt Ophelia. This casting comes after last season introduced Morticia Addams’ sister, Ophelia, but only glimpsed her from behind in the final seconds of the Season 2 finale.
The high-profile addition of Green to the show’s cast is a significant milestone for the series, which was greenlit this past summer and has already seen its second season become the fourth most watched English language series on Netflix. With Thursday, August 4, 2023 marking the premiere date of Season 2, it’s clear that the streaming giant is doubling down on its commitment to the Addams Family universe.
