A Night of Star-Studded Music and Charity
Last night (Tuesday 18th November), Global’s Make Some Noise Night brought together a glittering lineup of celebrities for an evening of music, charity, and community support. The event, supported by Barclaycard, saw star-studded performances by Adam Lambert, Cat Burns, and Craig David as they performed at The Londoner hotel in Leicester Square.
The Power of Music to Unite
The night was hosted by many of Global’s most recognizable presenters, including Amanda Holden, Kate Garraway, Jordan North, Chris Stark, Johnny Vaughan, James O’Brien, and Jamie Theakston. These presenters, who poured their hearts into the event every year, bravely shared personal stories to underscore the importance of local community support during life’s toughest challenges.
Surprise Performances and Inspiring Stories
The evening was not just about music; it was also a platform for inspiring stories. A special performance from BAFTA Award nominee Lucy, an incredible blind and neurodivergent young pianist, captivated the audience. Lucy’s journey to victory in Channel 4’s The Piano highlighted the transformative power of support from Make Some Noise-funded charities.
Supporting Vital Projects Across the UK
The grant-giving charity, Make Some Noise, funded by Global and supported by Barclays, aims to tackle issues such as bereavement, food poverty, domestic abuse, homelessness, and loneliness. The night’s fundraising efforts will ensure that thousands of people across the UK can access vital physical and emotional support they need during life’s most challenging moments.
Simon Pitts, Group CEO of Global, expressed his gratitude for the generosity of all involved: “Last night was my first Make Some Noise Night as Global CEO, and to have raised £1,203,910 in a single evening is remarkable and speaks volumes about the generosity and spirit of all of our friends and partners. My thanks go to our phenomenal performers Adam Lambert, Cat Burns, Craig David and the extraordinary Lucy; to our brilliant presenters and the entire Global family, who pour their hearts into this night every year.”
