Conor Benn: A Fighter Until the End?

Conor Benn, despite being 36 years old and a veteran of his own, also spoke about his future in boxing. While acknowledging that he is financially secure, Benn expressed his commitment to the sport as more than just a profession. “It’s all I’ve done since I was 14 years old,” he said. “Do I need to put my body through all this, do I need to fight more? No. But it’s my life, it’s my passion.” Benn added that the fire inside him keeps him going and that boxing is a lifestyle for him.

Future Fight Plans

Eubank Jr hinted at his plans for 2026, stating, “Consistency, staying active, that’s always been a big part of how I’ve always been able to have longevity and consistency in my career. And I’m very happy that I’ve been able to have two massive fights this year and I think next year we’re going to have even bigger ones.” He added, “Why not? Like I said, as long as that fire’s in me, I’m going to be in that ring.”

The English champion also discussed his intentions beyond boxing.

While he expressed no plans for the immediate future and stated he hasn’t given it an ounce of thought yet, he acknowledged the importance of staying active in the sport. “I haven’t given it an ounce of thought,” Eubank Jr said. “I don’t know what I’m going to eat, what I’m going to say after the fight, let alone who I’m going to be getting in the ring with next.”

Despite the uncertainty about his future plans, Eubank Jr remains focused on his next big fights and maintaining the intensity that has defined his career. “You don’t just get there and do something else,” he concluded. “As a fighter this is what we train and dedicate our entire career to, to reach this level and be in these type of events.”

With both fighters showing no signs of slowing down, the boxing world awaits their next encounters with bated breath. The 2025 rematch between Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn promises to continue their legacy as one of the most exciting fights in recent boxing history.
