The annual Aberdeen Bonfire Night event is set to light up the skies on November 5, marking a colorful display of fireworks and entertainment for thousands of spectators. This year’s event will see a wide range of road closures and parking restrictions in place to ensure safety and smooth operation.
When Is the Fireworks Display?
The fireworks display will commence at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. The best viewing areas are along the beach esplanade from Footdee public toilets, offering a prime vantage point to witness the spectacular show.
How Can I Get to the Event?
To attend the event, spectators can make use of Park and Ride buses available from Bridge of Don, Kingswells, and The Aberdeen Altens Hotel. These buses will drop off and return passengers at the beach located on Wellington Street. Additionally, blue badge parking is accessible with entry from York Street to Wellington Street via Waterloo Quay.
Space is limited and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Drivers are advised that they may be held back until after the crowds have dispersed.
What Items Are Banned at the Event?
To ensure public safety, Aberdeen City Council has issued a strict ban on certain items at the event:
- Dogs: Owners are urged to leave their pets at home during the display for everyone’s safety.
- Alcohol: The consumption of alcohol is prohibited in designated areas around the beachfront esplanade.
- Personal Fireworks: Individuals are not allowed to bring and use personal fireworks within the event perimeter.
Spectators are also advised to avoid bringing large bags, as they will be searched by stewards and police. The absence of music this year means that attendees should plan accordingly.
