The Bee Gees Legacy Unraveled

Lulu’s recent revelation on The Louis Theroux Podcast has sparked another chapter in the already complex history of the Bee Gees. It’s been 24 years since Maurice Gibb passed away, but his musical legacy is far from settled, especially with claims that he fathered a son outside of marriage.

Lulu’s Unexpected Discovery

Scottish singer Lulu, who was married to Gibb for six years until their separation in 1973, has reportedly just discovered the possibility of her ex-husband having another child. In an interview with Theroux, she stated, “I think he’s got a son,” and added that it might have happened while they were still married.

“Someone showed me something and I can’t remember the year he impregnated this girl after a one-night stand and he has a son who has had his genes taken. It’s proven. He’s a hundred percent Maurice’s.”

The DNA Evidence

In 2019, Nick Endacott-Gibb, who was given up for adoption as a baby, claimed that he is the biological son of Maurice Gibb and studio manager Patti Nolder after a DNA test provided a “100 percent match” with Gibb’s son Adam. However, some family members still question these claims.

Nick Endacott-Gibb said, “For some reason, some members of the family still want to publicly cast doubt on the validity of my DNA result from two years ago, rather than listening to the music I’m creating which surely speaks for itself.”

The Bee Gees Family Dynamics

Maurice Gibb’s death in 2003 after a cardiac arrest at his Miami home left behind known children: daughter Samantha and son Adam with his second wife Yvonne Spenceley. The new claims add another layer of complexity to the family dynamics, especially considering Lulu’s own marriage history.

She had a brief romance with David Bowie in the 1970s and later reunited with Gibb onstage in 2002, a year before his death. Lulu reflected on her relationship, saying, “Sometimes in ending a relationship, you don’t say all that you wanted to say or there’s confusion or misunderstandings.”
