The Strange Scheduling of Death in Paradise
You might think this is new, but… Death in Paradise, the beloved crime drama, has a bit of an oddball on its schedule. For the second time during season 15, it’s not airing at its usual Friday 9pm slot on BBC One. Instead, the network will air Match of the Day for the FA Cup game between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Liverpool.
The iPlayer Solution
But don’t fret, fans. The folks at Death in Paradise have got you covered. Episode six of season 15 is already available on BBC iPlayer from 8:45 pm this Friday (March 6, 2020). So, if you’re desperate to return to Saint Marie and the world of Mervin’s detective work, there’s no need to wait an extra day.
What’s in Store for Episode Six?
And what a cliffhanger it was last time! When we last saw Mervin, he was on his way to visit his half-brother Solomon in Antigua. The detective was hopeful of a reconciliation and a discussion about their late mother’s estate.
But things didn’t go as planned. In episode five, the tension ratcheted up when Mervin found himself bound by ropes to a chair, dazed from some sort of knock-out blow.
The Teaser
According to Death in Paradise’s official Instagram account, the new edition of Living Legends teased what to expect next. It turns out that not only is Mervin a captive but he has inadvertently gotten himself caught up in a crime scene. The teaser hints: “In a remote cabin, a local businessman has been shot.
But Solomon and his associate Cheech both swear the other is responsible. And they’re not letting Mervin go until each one has convinced him of their account. One of them is lying. But who?”
The Season’s Release Schedule
So there you have it: available on BBC iPlayer from 8:45 pm tonight (March 6, 2020), premiering on BBC One on Monday March 9, 2020, at 9 pm. It’s a classic case of drama versus football – but in this case, you might just want to settle down with your favorite detective and the mystery of his next move. So, what do you think? Would you rather watch Match of the Day or stick to Death in Paradise?
