As the festive season approaches, Trafford Centre has unveiled a host of exciting events designed to bring joy to families this holiday period. The centre’s Christmas lights have been switched on, marking the official start of the festivities.
The Christmas Parade
A highlight for visitors will be the free Christmas parade, which kicks off at 11:30 AM and again at 2:30 PM on Saturday, November 15, 2025. This event promises to feature a lineup of beloved characters such as Bluey, Bingo, Paddington, Stickman, Hey Duggee, and Father Christmas himself.
Around the Centre
Visitors can look forward to a variety of activities across different areas within Trafford Centre. The big wheel is already up, offering panoramic views over the area. Meanwhile, the grotto will be open from November 22 for an interactive experience where children can become part of a magical mission aimed at saving Christmas cheer.
Fairground and Ice Rink
The fairground returns from November 22 to January 4, providing a range of rides for all ages. Entry costs £3 online or £3.50 at the gate, with tokens costing £1 each that can be used to pay for rides ranging from 1 to 5 tokens. The ice rink will also open between these dates, inviting families to skate under the stars and warm up with a cup of hot chocolate.
For those who wish to support local businesses, Trafford Centre markets are rated better and cheaper than Manchester’s options, offering a variety of seasonal delights such as mulled wine and Bratwurst. Visitors can purchase tickets for the ice rink at £12.50 for ages 13 plus and £10 for under-12s during off-peak times.
Special Events
In addition to these attractions, Trafford Centre is set to host Gandeys Snowstorm Wish, a festive show running from December 5 to January 4. This event promises a blend of storytelling, artistry, and adrenaline with world-class figure skaters and jaw-dropping circus artists.
