T20 International Tri-Series Set for Rawalpindi
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that a groundbreaking cricket tournament will take place on Pakistani soil, marking an exciting chapter in the nation’s cricketing history. The inaugural T20I tri-series involving Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe is set to begin at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from 18 November to 29 November 2025.
Format and Schedule
The tournament will consist of a total of seven matches, with each participating team playing four league matches. The top two teams after the group stage will progress to the final match scheduled for Saturday, 29 November. All games are set to begin at 6pm PST, while the toss will be conducted at 5:30pm.
Hosting Team’s Recent Performance
The hosts, Pakistan, have entered this event with strong recent form in T20 internationals. Earlier this year, they featured in the final of the ACC Menβs T20 Asia Cup in the UAE and later defeated South Africa 2-1 in a three-match T20I series at home. Pakistan also swept Bangladesh 3-0 in Lahore more recently. The team has shown excellent discipline and form in recent ODI series against Sri Lanka, winning all matches.
