New Christmas Menu: Grinch-Themed Fun at McDonald’s
As November 26 approaches, McDonald’s is getting ready for a festive twist with its Christmas menu. The fast-food giant has unveiled a series of new items that are sure to capture the spirit of the season and add some fun to holiday gatherings.
New Grinch-Themed Items
The most notable addition to this year’s menu is the Grinch Meal (ÂŁ9.09). This adult Happy Meal offers festive socks in a box instead of toys, giving customers the chance to enjoy a Big Mac, McPlant, or 9 McNuggets alongside Grinched McShaker Fries and a regular drink. Additionally, the Grinched McShaker Fries are available separately for ÂŁ2.19 (Medium) or ÂŁ2.99 (Large), adding an extra layer of fun to mealtime.
Festive Desserts
In keeping with the Grinch theme, McDonald’s has introduced several new desserts that will make your holiday table look like a Christmas wonderland. The Grumble Pie (£2.39) is a bright green custard pie filled with cranberry and apple fruit mixture, while the Mischief McFlurry (£2.49 regular, £1.89 mini) features dairy ice cream swirled with Smarties, sugar Christmas trees, and strawberry sauce. For those who prefer something less sweet, there’s also a Frozen Grinch Lemonade (£3.19), which boasts a vivid green melon swirl.
New Main Dishes
For the main course, McDonald’s is bringing back some fan favorites like the Big Tasty and introducing new items such as the Cheesy Chicken Stack (£8.99 for a meal). This burger features a chicken breast topped with a mega cheese melt, chipotle salsa, lettuce, and a cheese slice, making it a hearty and indulgent choice. Customers can also opt for the Double Big Tasty (Single £7.99, Double £9.49) with an option to add bacon for 90p extra.
The Chocolate Brownie McFlurry (ÂŁ2.49 regular, ÂŁ1.89 mini) and the new Coconut Latte (ÂŁ2.89) and Coconut Hot Chocolate (ÂŁ2.49) round out the menu with sweet and creamy options that are sure to satisfy any craving.
All of these items will be available for a limited period, giving customers just enough time to try them before they disappear from the menu.
Expert Opinion
Metro’s specialist food writer, Courtney Pochin, had the opportunity to preview the new menu and was particularly impressed with the Cheesy Chicken Stack. She described it as “sensational,” praising its combination of crispy chicken and melty cheese. While she found some items like the Grumble Pie less exciting, she praised the Coconut Hot Chocolate, noting that it exceeded her expectations despite being a coconut-based drink.
Overall, McDonald’s has managed to strike a balance between familiar favorites and new innovations for this year’s Christmas menu. Whether you’re in the mood for some classic fare or something more festive, there’s plenty to choose from at Maccies this holiday season.
