A Spectacular Evening in Llandudno: The 2025 Fireworks Display
In a dazzling display of lights and sound, the town of Llandudno is gearing up for its annual fireworks event on November 7 and 8. Organised by Llandudno Town Council with support from local businesses and community groups, this year’s spectacle promises to be both thrilling and financially sustainable.
Planning and Preparation
The event is set to commence at 6:30 PM on Friday, November 7, 2025. In the unfortunate case of poor weather conditions, a backup date has been planned for Saturday, November 8, with both dates subject to change based on meteorological predictions.
According to Cllr Carol Marubbi, Chairman of the Fireworks Sub-Committee, the event is carefully planned to ensure safety. “We are just finalising if the weather is going to be suitable,” she stated. “Ignite Pyrotechnics have been working with us for a couple of years now and they are fantastic. I don’t know how they are going to blow us out of the water this year.”
A Focus on Community Involvement
This year, there will be a strong emphasis on community support through bucket collections. “We have got our own health and safety officer and we have got Adam from the Pier – safety is paramount,” Cllr Marubbi continued. “We are asking people to give generously to help support the costs of staging the event in future years.”
The actual cost of the fireworks themselves amounts to about £25,000, with additional expenses covering various aspects such as toilets, paramedics, and security. “The total cost is because we’ve got to have toilets, we’ve got to have paramedics, St John’s Ambulance – we have to adhere to the rules and guidelines,” Cllr Marubbi explained. “We want people to be safe and if everybody gave £1, it would be a huge benefit.”
Support for Local Businesses and Visitors
In addition to the fireworks display itself, the event is expected to bring significant benefits to local businesses and visitors alike. Last year alone, over 25,000 people attended the event, contributing significantly to the town’s economy.
The council has also taken steps to ensure smooth operation post-display. “The road will be quite busy after the display,” Cllr Marubbi noted. “We have got paramedics and health and safety officers who will be meeting with the Fireworks Chairman, Conwy County Borough Council Events, Llandudno Pier, and the Fireworks Contractor on Thursday, November 6.”
Conclusion
A Celebration of Community Spirit
The 2025 Llandudno Fireworks Display is more than just a spectacular night out; it is a celebration of community spirit and local pride. As Cllr Marubbi emphasized, “Businesses and so many people benefit from the event.” With careful planning and strong community support, this year’s display promises to be both memorable and financially sustainable for years to come.
