A Heartbreaking Update in the Search for Missing Man Sam

Humberside Police have released an updated video from surveillance footage taken at Victoria Dock, sparking renewed concern and hope in the community. The images show a figure entering the water around 50 meters from where the last confirmed sighting of 24-year-old Sam Mark Page was made on Thursday, November 6.

The missing man’s family has been keeping the public informed through social media updates, including one posted this morning. They asked people to “stop searching” due to “some new information which has come to light.” In a statement issued today, they expressed their gratitude for everyone’s support and well wishes: “We are thankful for everyone’s shares, and well wishes. We have a long road ahead of us in the hope we can find Sam and lay him to rest.”

The Search Continues

Leading the search for Sam Mark Page is Humberside Police Chief Inspector Owen Stafford who has been coordinating extensive lines of enquiry over the past 12 days. Stafford said, “Our specialist teams have been engaged in the search for Sam over the last 12 days, conducting extensive lines of enquiry in an attempt to trace his movements and location.” He added that officers were immediately deployed after receiving reports of Sam’s disappearance.

The last confirmed sighting of Sam was at around 12:10pm (Thursday, 6 November) on a path at Victoria Dock, Plimsoll Way. Since then, Humberside Police have been reviewing CCTV footage to trace his movements and location.

They have now retrieved further CCTV footage which appears to show a figure entering the water approximately 50 meters from this last sighting, at around 12:19pm.

The camera is situated approximately one kilometer away from Plimsoll Way, looking towards the dock path where Sam was last seen. Due to the distance of the camera and the location of the figure, it’s incredibly difficult to confirm an identity; however, from thorough enquiries, they do believe this is Sam in the footage.

Public Appeal for Information

In their latest update, Humberside Police have appealed to the two individuals seen in earlier CCTV appeals and anyone else who may have information that could assist them. They stated: “We continue to appeal to the two individuals seen in our CCTV appeal shared earlier in the week, as well as anyone else who has information that could assist us in the search for Sam.” If you do have any relevant information, they request that you contact them on 101 quoting log 390 of November 6.

The Underwater Search Unit remains out on the water and officers continue carrying out enquiries aided by information from the public. Stafford reiterated his thanks to members of the public for their assistance in the search for Sam Mark Page, emphasizing that everyone’s help has been invaluable to this ongoing investigation.
