Anger Ginge’s Emotional Journey on “I’m A Celebrity”

Anger Ginge, a 24-year-old YouTube star and television personality, has opened up about his complex family dynamics during an interview for the Off Stream podcast. The reality TV contestant revealed that he has an estranged half-sister who he has never met due to their split-up families.

Family Tensions and Half-Siblings

Ginge admitted in the podcast, “I actually do have another sister but never see her because she’s on my dad’s side and I grew up never seeing her.” When asked if his half-sister had ever tried to contact him, he responded, “Yeah, they did try and message my mum on Facebook after stuff had blown up, saying, ‘Just tell him congrats.’ That’s nice but I’ve grown up with a sister on my mum’s side and a sister on my dad’s side. The sister on my mum’s side, I’ve seen all my life. And obviously I’ve got the sister on my dad’s side that I’ve never seen.”

Anger towards His Father

In an emotional moment during the podcast, Ginge vented his frustration towards his father, saying, “So I suppose the only thing we have in common is that we’ve both got a d**k for a dad.” This statement came amidst discussions about his strained relationship with his father and his father’s history of dodging child maintenance payments. According to a source quoted by The Sun, Ginge described his father as “a mummy’s boy at heart” but highlighted the financial sacrifices his mother made for him during their difficult childhood.

Support from His Mother

Ginge is incredibly close to his mother Michelle Burtwistle and often speaks about her. Michelle was visibly moved when she saw Ginge break down on a recent episode of I’m A Celebrity, where he admitted feeling homesick. She expressed, “I haven’t managed to watch the full episode yet as I’ve been travelling, but I saw a clip on TikTok.

My heart absolutely sank, I started crying. It was so hard to see because I know Morgan is such a strong person, so he must have been struggling a lot. I just can’t wait to give him the biggest hug on that bridge.”

The 24-year-old’s journey on this year’s I’m A Celebrity highlights his determination to provide for his mother, whom he feels has sacrificed much for him. Despite their current estrangement, Ginge acknowledges the bond they share and the challenges they face together.
