I can only think that hearing it took Alastair back to the security of the womb, as I’d been in the studio to listen to Rod recording when I’d been pregnant.”
Initial Reluctance and Future Regret
Penny revealed that Rod was initially unsure about having more children when they first began their romance. She stated, “Yes. And that would have been very hard.
But we just went with the flow.” Despite this initial reluctance, Rod has since acknowledged his regret in not agreeing to have more children sooner. In a recent interview, he expressed, “I wish I’d said yes earlier, because then we could have had more children.”
They even considered adopting but ultimately decided against it due to concerns about an age gap. Penny shared that they thought there might be too much of an age difference between them and any potential child. However, she noted, “Actually, I have three because there’s another big baby who needs my attention in a different way.”
