Upon his arrival at the set, Farrell’s condition was immediately noticeable to everyone. “I just got out of the car,” he recounted, ” he went, ‘You can’t go to the set like this.’ And I went, ‘Just get me six Pacifico Cervezas and a packet of 20 Reds.” The second assistant director, David H. A Line That Could Have Ended Farrell’s Career
One of the most memorable moments for Farrell was when he was asked to take a breath of fresh air during breaks, but he refused. “I remember one of coming up and saying, ‘Do you want to go out and take a breath of fresh air?’ And I remember thinking, ‘If I go out and take a breath of fresh air, then I’ll be under more pressure when I come back in to be better.’ And I went, ‘No, we’ll just go through it.'”
