Life After Geordie Shore: Charlotte Crosby’s Journey Through Motherhood and Love
Charlotte Crosby, the former star of Geordie Shore, has opened up about her current life as a mother to two young daughters. Speaking candidly with Closer magazine, Crosby discusses the challenges she faces in balancing work and family life.
The Struggle of Dual Parenting
“I honestly don’t even have the words,” Crosby admits when asked about adjusting to having two kids. “One child was so easy and then two children is just like… I don’t know if there are even words in the dictionary to describe the absolute chaos.” Crosby further elaborates on the exhaustion of caring for two young daughters, noting that it has become easier now that Pixi, her nine-month-old daughter, is slightly older.
Geordie Shore: A Reality Revisited
The reality TV star first burst onto the scene 14 years ago and spent five years becoming a firm favorite of Geordie Shore. Crosby reflects on those times with Closer, acknowledging that while there were wild house parties, she also recalls the full team of about 100 crew members who ensured safety. She adds humorously, “But that’s kind of standard.”
Crosby’s new series, Geordie Stories: Charlotte, Mam Of Two, launches on November 19, exclusively on Paramount+.
The show aims to document her life as a mother and adapt to bringing up two children instead of one. Crosby shares, “I want to share the real, unfiltered side of motherhood.”
Engagement and Early Days
Crosby, who is engaged to entrepreneur Jake Ankers, has been together since late 2021. The couple proposed during a holiday in Dubai in 2023. Crosby shares how their early days were blissful but acknowledges the pressure of being self-employed business owners with two children and no maternity leave. “We were going through a hard patch in our relationship,” she explains.
Future Plans
Crosby discusses her family’s unusual Christmas plans, which include flying to Dubai and then the Maldives for a holiday after dinner and gift opening at her mother’s house. She concludes by saying, “I’m not into Christmas presents at all. I can’t remember the last time I bought my parents or brother a gift.
The girls get presents of course, but honestly, for me, experiences matter more.”
Despite the challenges, Crosby remains determined to be open with her fans about both the highs and lows of motherhood on screen. She concludes by saying, “You’ve just got to get through it. There’s nothing in place – we’re just surviving every single day.”
